Some people argue that information from
magazine and reviews from the Internet are the most important factor when they
buy a new purchase. However, in my opinion, the recommendations from my friends
are considered more importantly to choice a major purchase. I have two concrete
reasons and details to support my opinions.
To
begin with, friends know other’s personality more objectively. This is because
they have a close relationship. friends with close interaction can find and
recommend products that suit to others. On the other hand, information from online
or magazines are biased in one-side or they may be advertisements. For example,
I had a plan to buy a new camera. I firstly found on the Internet about reviews
of cameras. However, there were a lot of advertisement. Reviewers of the
Internet were not real purchasers but just people who wrote only information of
good side about cameras and received money.
In
addition, consumers can try to use friends’ real products before they buy them.
By using them in advance, they can recognize about advantages and disadvantage
of the products and determine if they buy or not. The Internet, however,
usually inform about advantages about purchases and conceal disadvantages. The
information of the Internet deceives peoples with beautiful pictures that are
different from real. According to the survey conducted by UCLA’s research
department, 75 percent of the participants answered that they disappoint with
the state of products that is not consistent with what they were on the
Internet. Further, their opinions were supported by logical reasons similar to
that of mine.
To
sum up, friends provide more objective information and real products that can
be used by others in advance. In this regard, I believe that recommendations
from friends have the most important impact on purchasing decisions.
