▶ Your Answer : Some people might say that parents should not help their children. They believe that helping their children makes the kids independently. However, I am convinced that assisting their kids studying their schoolwork will motivate the kids to be confident, and make their family happy. First of all, to assist children with their studying will influence them in positive way. With the help of their parents, the children will be able to get higher scores than their classmates, which makes them have more confidence in school life. Let me bring up my personal experience as an example. When I was in an elementary school, I was very depressed first time, because I could rarely catch up with the mathematic class. Therefore, my mother helped me to study mathematics for a few months, which enabled me get a highscore for the very next test. Certainly I got confident and was able to study harder. Thus, It is safe to say that assisting children with their schoolwork leads them to develop their performances. Further, helping their children makes their family happy. When the parents spend time on helping their children with their studying, the family will be able to have more conversation and get closer. For example, I have a son who has just entered elementary school. I found out that my son and I hardly have conversation each day. In the meantime, I began to teach my son his English. The more we talked with each other, the closer we could get. As a consequence, my family has become more vivid these days. This example clearly shows that helping the kids with their schoolwork makes the family have happy atmosphere. In conclusion, I strongly agree with the idea that parents should help their children's school work. The reason for this is that by assisting their children with their studies, children will have successful progress not only in the school but also in their family life. |
