▶ Your Answer :
Undoubtedly, cars and airplanes play a significant role in people’s daily
lives in many places where they work or play. Some people think that airplanes have
made a greater impact on society than cars, while others do not. Both sides have
their own reasons to support their argument. If I had to choose one, I would like
to say that cars have more influence on society compared to airplanes.
To
begin with, when people became to own more cars, climate change occurred. The provision
of convenient and affordable automobiles encourages people to purchase more cars,
emitting harmful gases into the air. More usage of driving cars caused environmental
damages by soaring amount of CO2, and this event have become one of the worst issue
that impacts people’s daily lives. For instance, recently in the United States,
Texas suffered from unusual massive flooding. It was very rare phenomenon for the
state known for its dry weather. Scientists linked this event to the increase number
of automobiles in this state. Considering the fact that the number of driving cars
has been soaring these days, it is not doubt that cars have emitted tremendous amount
of toxic gases, causing climate change. After this experience, the US government
realized the need of prevention to usage of cars. Regardless to say that a lot of
people that were cared by their beloved ones died by this event, cars have a negatively
impact on society. Consequently, the government should execute sustainable policies
about the usage of cars and also people should abide by the policies.
In
addition, usage of cars allows people to improve their standard of lives. After
the invention of a car, people can have more interaction with other people, expand
their business with large scope, and eventually make economy developed tremendously.
There hav been many significant inventions in mankind’s history, but only individual
cars play this imperative role for human. For example, a research was conducted
by Havard Business School to figure out the economic improvement after the appearance
of cars. What they found was intriguing. The US economy had been extremely expanded
after people riding a personal car made by Ford. The cumulated average growth rate
of that period was over 34%, and cars were closely correlated with this rapid growth.
All
things considered, cars have a huge influence on society negatively and positively.
People have some trouble without airplanes, but they cannot have their regular lives
without cars.
