▶ Your Answer : Various opinions may exist over the argument that today's parents do not understand their children compared to the past. As far as I am concerned, I am in complete agreement with the argument. The two ideas stated below can be valid evidence to support my view. First of all,due to the advancement of technology, especially the Internet in modern days, people should admit that parents nowadays do not figure out their children's worries compared to the past generation's parents is more trustful. When society was underdeveloped, many people had to spend tremendous amounts of time and effort to find the information they needed. However, as technology is coming closer and closer towards the cutting edge, finding information became so much easier and faster. These days, children's concerns are various and young children mostly solve their solutions through the Internet searching. Moreover, the past and the now is completely different generation. As a result, these days parents can not figure out what children nowadays really worry. According to a private study conducted by Seoul National University of Korea, most of the surveyed respondents answered that they were strongly helped by the technology media such as the Internet, Social Network Service rather than their parent's advice when they had problems at children age. Moreover, it was exact the surveyed data that the tendency has changed; In the past, the children showed that most problems was solved by their parents contrast to the present's tendency. Therefore, I strongly argue that today's parents do not understand their children compared to the past parents. On top of that, these days, children are dependable on their peers. Children can find emotional relief by relying their friends rather than their parents these days because it is effective for boosting children's moods. Today, many children are weary with too much stress. In the present generation, by depending on their friends rather than their parents, however, they can temporarily forget about their problems and gain some breathing space. In this respect, solving their problems with their friends in the current age can be a great means of invigorating people's minds. My personal experience can be used to prove this point. Every morning, I have to get through traffic congestion and read though countless texts. To make matters worse, I get exhausted coping with my teachers. Hence, as a way to relieve my stress, I frequently depend on my friends by talking about my troubles and playing with them such as computer games and soccer. Even if it is only for a short period of time, my feelings are become relaxed, and I am no longer thinking about demanding requests at school. Indeed, during this brief period of enjoyment, I am able to alleviate tension and better prepare for the upcoming days. Therefore, it is clear that these days parents do not understand their children likened to the past due to the existence of children's close peers. Taking all of these into consideration,we should agree with the given topic since it is important to the advance of technology and the peer's influence. Needless to say, there is on doubt in my opinion that the present is different from the past in that their parents do not understand their children anymore. |
