▶ Your Answer : Various opinions may exist over the argument that children should have a job similar to their parent's jobs than to have a different job. As far as I am concerened, I am in complete disagreement with the argument. The two ideas stated below can be valid evidence to support my view. First of all, getting a job which is different from their parents jobs for children shows outstanding effectiveness in improving social skills because they can meet diverse people in different field jobs from their parents. Modern society requires people who surpass others both in sociability and specialty. Interpersonal relationships and social skills are necessary qualifications for any successful person. Therefore, the given need for collaboration today, selecting a job which is not same from those of their parents clearly is a more vital in building a more promising future. According to a private survey conducted by Seoul National University of Korea, most of the surveyed respondents answered that they were strongly helped by getting different jobs from their parents' works. They also responded that if it had not been for their jobs selection, they would have not made various netwroks with others. Therefore, I strongly affirm that indeed it is better for children to have the opportunity to work in different workplaces , where their parents was not be hired. On top of that, getting a job different from their parents' works is an excellent way of enhancing insights and outlooks since people have more experience. Many children have limitations in that they can hear only their parents' work experience. While growing up, many people are immersed by a tons of information and knowledge about this world, through formalized education and their parents' advice. The problem that comes with that is that most of the information and knowledge is conveyed with the source's viewpoint and they can easily become shortsighted if they do not have chances to experience and broaden their horizon. In many cases, lack of experience and stereotype is a serious concern that hinders their success. Therefore, in order to gain well-balanced views and become more cultured, they are encouraged to have dissimilar jobs from their parents' jobs and have much experience to learn different job well. Moreover, if they do other jobs that their parents did not perform, they would broaden their viewpoint. According to a recent study conducted by a world top-tier university, when given choices of selecting almost same job from their parents and not getting jobs that their parents already worked, the majority of people willingly chose the latter option and they also readily admitted that the advantages of the latter option far outweigh those of the former one. By choosing the latter option, they could gain better perspectives which they could hardly acquire in other options. Likewise, this result indicates that my argument is convincing. Hence, as a way to broaden their perspectives, it is rightful that children should choose the dissimilar jobs from their parents already did. Taking all of these reasons into consideration, we should disagree with the idea that getting the other jobs from those of their parents since it is important to make social network with new people and gain their perspectives. There is no doubt in my opinion that getting other tasks which they parents did not will benefit their future. |
