Some people who believe that parents have to spend much time performing schoolwork with their children, while others do not think this way. Both sides may have their own reasons to support their views. I strongly suggest that parents should have efforts encouraging their children to play games or sports with them. There are several reasons as follows.
To begin with, parents who devote much time playing games or sports help their children to learn how to mingle well with other. Playing games or sports can be tools to help people strengthen a good relationship with their friends in school. Accordingly, when their children become skillful at playing games or sports, this can enable their children to easily brush up on their interpersonal skills in school. For instance, many research teams, including Tokyo Research Center, analyzed data from two groups of students. One group consisted of those who spent two hours a day enjoying sports or games with their parents, whereas the other group was made up of those who did not or just had a lot time studying with their parents. The researcher found that the former was more likely to have a higher score on the Social Ability Test than the latter by 29%. In particular, most of the first group showed a stronger passion and a greater dexterity in social activities, such as a soccer, which led them to be more open-minded and proficiently interact with other students in school. Naturally, they could broaden their horzions and reinforce social skills. This clearly shows that having a lot of time enjoying sports or games with their children is the key to their children's social life.
On top of that, parents who spend much time studying with their children can contribute to a decrease in their children's overall happiness. What this means is that they must already take a lot of courses in school, so they are studying under tremendous stress. When they have to study with their parents additionally, this can lead to their children's more stressful life. Let me bring up my personal example to verify my contention. When I was in high school, I often felt depressed thinking that my life become an exhausting routine. To survive in a competitive world, I spent the whole day studying academic subjects in school hoping that I could outdo others. To make things worse, my father wanted to have a discussion about law and get great solutions with me, which led to more stressful for me. At that time, I had difficulty dealing with such a lot of strain and pressure, so I was emotionally unstable.
All things considered, I firmly believe that parents who devote a lot time playing games or sports with their children are advantageous for their children, because their children can dexterously develop interpersonal skills ,easily promote broader networks, and prevent them from feeling more exhausted.
