Learning which kind of subjects has affected not only their future but also the development of our young children. Some people think that we should require kids to learn music and art in addition to math science, history, and language. This notion, however, does not reflect the stance I hold and should be thought in a different light. I believe that we don't have to require young children to learn too many subjects, rather allow them to learn anything they want because it enables them to contribute to our society as unique and needed leaders and enjoy a better quality of life.
First, not learning too many subjects allows kids to concentrate more on what they really like and to have an impact on society as good leaders in specific field. Initially, I thought it is important for young children to learn music and art in addition to math science, history, and language, and even it is required to them. However, after having read many expert opinions from major newspapers, I realized that the children need to learn some subjects which they want. This is because the more subjects they want to learn, the more possibility they grow up as professional increases. Especially from the time when they were kids, people had to make much effort for one field which they prefer. If kids follow one direction, they can contribute to improvement of their society. This was convincing enough to change my initial thoughts, and I learned that they don't have to learn too many that subjects.
Second, not learning too many that subjects allows kids to enjoy a better quality of life. Interestingly, a renowned social scientists in South Korea published an article in "The Korean Herald" on Tuesday which claimed that 62 percent of 2000 Korean parents thought that requiring their kids to learn music and art in addition to math science, history, and language that may be some subjects which children really didn't like can have a negative influence on emotional development of children. When children are required to learn too many subjects which they are not interested in, they can get a lot of stress. Getting a plenty of stress can have an effect on children’s development negatively and not enrich their lifestyle in the long term.
To sum up, I believe that we don’t have to require young children to learn music art in addition to math science, history, and language for the following reasons: to help them focus more on what they like, contributing our society as good leaders and enjoy a better quality of life. Consequently, the importance of my view cannot be underestimated in that it can kill two birds with one stone for the reasons I have mentioned above.
